The Hospitality V.I.P. Room

The Hospitality V.I.P. room was started in 1997 by Al Slinker & Chris Gilliland. Originally located in a big tent donated by Safeway, they served horderves one hour before the rodeo until one hour after each performance.

Safeway continues to be our Major Sponsor each year and with the addition of many more, it is now located in a permanent fixed building on the Chief Joseph Days Rodeo grounds adjacent to The Thunder Room.

Chief Joseph Days volunteers serve breakfast, lunch (snacks), dinner & after dinner all four days to approximately 400 people; from rodeo participants and their families, to volunteers and CJD Sponsors.

Today, Shelley Marshall, Tim Marshall, Judy Bothum & Bets Henry operate the Hospitality Room and Robin Lewis is the newest recruit to help out with this major, fun job!

Thanks to the Sponsors and the dedication of the many gracious volunteers, The Hospitality V.I.P. Room has become an event of its own and one that Chief Joseph Days plans for all year long.

When you support Chief Joseph Days, you not only support a piece of treasured western heritage, you also put your business name in front of close to 10,000 potential customers.
