Interested in representing Chief Joseph Days Rodeo? Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Court!

Serving on the Chief Joseph Days Court is an opportunity to represent CJD throughout the region, meet new people, strengthen your horsemanship and public speaking skills, and be part of a long-standing Chief Joseph Days tradition.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

Be at least 15 years old by December 31 of the current year and no older than 20 by December 31 of the following year
Be a current Wallowa County resident and have lived in Wallowa County for at least six months
Be in good standing with their educational institution

Important Dates

Application Deadline: September 4 at 4:00 PM
Completed applications must be returned to the Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Office.

Royalty Tryouts: September 20 at 1:00 PM
Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Arena

Tryouts will include an interview, a 3–5 minute speech, and a horsemanship evaluation.
