Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Named Finalist for National “Sowing Good Deeds” Award — Second Year in a Row

Joseph, Ore. — November 7, 2025 — Chief Joseph Days Rodeo has been named a finalist for the 2025 PRCA ProRodeo Sowing Good Deeds Award, marking the second consecutive year the Joseph, Oregon-based rodeo has earned national recognition for its community impact. Presented by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Hesston by Massey Ferguson, the Sowing Good Deeds Award honors rodeo committees that go above and beyond to support their local and regional communities through volunteerism, charitable giving, and outreach. Each year, five finalists are chosen from across the country, with one rodeo committee receiving a Massey Ferguson tractor for their exceptional service. The 2025 winner will be announced at the PRCA Gala on December 3, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, just ahead of the National Finals Rodeo. This year’s finalists are: Chief Joseph Days Rodeo (OR), Franklin Rodeo (TN), Prescott Frontier Days (AZ), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo (CA), and St. Paul Rodeo (OR). “It’s an incredible honor to be recognized again for what this rodeo represents,” said Terry Jones, Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Board President. “Chief Joseph Days is built on generations of hard work, volunteerism, and a deep belief in supporting our community. Being named a finalist two years in a row shows how strong that commitment truly is.” Chief Joseph Days Rodeo continues to give back through student scholarships, its annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night and Miles 4 Mammograms 5k supporting Wallowa Memorial Hospital, Buckaroo Rodeo for children and adults with alternative needs, and partnerships that promote youth leadership and community pride.
