Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Named PRCA Columbia River Circuit Medium Rodeo of the Year for Fourth Consecutive Year
JOSEPH, Ore. — October 20, 2025 — Chief Joseph Days Rodeo has once again been recognized among the best in professional rodeo, earning the title of PRCA Columbia River Circuit Medium Rodeo of the Year for the fourth consecutive year and the fifth time overall. This honor highlights the dedication of the all-volunteer Chief Joseph Days Association and the town of Joseph, Oregon, which welcomes thousands spectators each summer for six days of Western heritage, community celebration, and world-class rodeo action. “This is a true honor, and we’re humbled to have received it four years in a row,” said Terry Jones, Chief Joseph Days Rodeo Board President. “It’s a testament to the people who work yearround to make this rodeo happen. A big thank you goes out to our contract personnel, contestants, and everyone involved in making this selection possible.” The Columbia River Circuit includes PRCA rodeos across Oregon, Washington, and northern Idaho. To be named Rodeo of the Year is a reflection of excellence in production, hospitality, and contestant experience—qualities that have long set Chief Joseph Days apart. Since its first performance in 1946, Chief Joseph Days has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier PRCA rodeos, earning national recognition for its production and community involvement. Beyond the arena, Chief Joseph Days supports local schools, scholarships, and countless community causes, making it a cornerstone of Wallowa County’s economy and spirit. As the rodeo looks ahead to its 80th Anniversary Celebration, July 21–26, 2026, this latest recognition reinforces a legacy built on tradition, teamwork, and excellence in the heart of Joseph, Oregon.
